Jan Ree Neighborhood

The Jan Ree neighborhood lies about as far north as possible in Salem Oregon and still be in the urban growth boundary.  There are many phases to this subdivision with homes starting to be built in the 1970 range and continuing until today.

The real estate available in this neighborhood has traditionally been one level homes, but the latest phases (9 and 10) had many two story homes as well. JDC was one of the most recent builders of homes out in this neighborhood. Hammmond Elementary school sits at the eastern most edge of this neighborhood and gives the neighborhood its park as well. Most of Jan Ree feeds into Hammond Elementary school, but a portion of this neighborhood flows into Hayesville. If schools are important to you, remember to check the latest boundaries with the school district.

Jan Ree is not a very walkable neighborhood in that there isn’t a local restaurant or grocery store in walking distance.  This is a car dependent neighborhood.
