Salem Oregon real estate in College

Country in the city.  That describes the feel to the college neighborhood for the most part.  This area in West Salem Oregon has homes that were built in the 1940-1960 range.  As such the real estate here tends to have larger lot sizes, which is one of the big draws of the neighborhood.   There is a new subdivision, Ridgeview Estates that sits right on the outskirts of this older neighborhood, but the core characteristics  of this neighborhood are larger, heavily treed lots, and homes that typically need some updating.

One of the appealing aspects of this neighborhood as well is the ease of access to Edgewater, rather than Wallace Road. The neighborhood isn’t quite walkable to grocery stores and dining, but it is just a two minute drive to grocery stores and some local dining on Edgewater and Wallace.
